An all-wheel-drive system that helps provide the best possible traction at all road speeds, in different conditions. An electronic Haldex clutch responds to traction losses at the front and rear axles and directs torque to the axle with the best traction.

The power of the Touareg engine is transmitted to the wheels via the permanent 4MOTION® all-wheel drive system. This flow of power is handled by a Torsen transfer box to direct drive to the wheels where required to help provide the best possible traction at all road speeds in different conditions.
