Voluntary complianceOne approach for demonstrating corporate social responsibility is voluntary compliance. In the notion of voluntary compliance, it states that citizens will collaborate with their government by filing truthful and correct annual returns. It means that each individual is expected to precisely record his duties without the involvement of the government, whereby the individual will organize and record a proper tax returns, giving a truthful indication of their income. The idea of voluntary compliance does not lie in the completion of the tax return, but rather in the manner in which an individual reports his income or claims deductions. Checking that every taxpayer is truthfully disclosing everything also is an unachievable burden. In this context, voluntary compliance comes into play.
