you-wardCirca 1830s, "youward" was used for "all of you". For example, The Doctrine and Covenants (published 1835) says, "... the keys which I have given unto him, and also to youward, shall not be taken from him." The word fell into disuse when it was superseded by the more casual "y'all" (whose origins lie in the Celtic languages).
