High Voltage TestA test which consists of the application of a specified voltage higher than the rated voltage between windings and frame, or between two or more windings, for the purpose of determining the adequacy of insulating materials and spacing against breakdown under normal conditions. [It is not the test of the conductor insulation of any one winding.
