Underlying yield


One of two measurements of income on a bond fund.   It shows the amount of income generated for distribution after deducting all expenses.  The other bond fund yield is called the distribution yield and link to fund yields page. Distribution yield will be higher than the underlying yield where expenses are charged to capital.  See ‘Yield’.
