Instructor-Led Training

Abbreviation for Information and Learning Technology. A term that has recently come into vogue, stressing the learning aspect rather than the communications aspect, as in ICT.

Ancronym for Instructor Led Training. ILT is often contrasted with WBT (Web-Based Training) to mean live training in a physical classroom, with one person leading the class. It can also refer more generically to training led by one person in either a physical classroom or a web-based virtual classroom.

Instructor Lead Training: Training mediated by a live instructor, such as classroom training or live classes delivered over an web-based conference system.
