DEFINITION

Sports Leaders UK is the accredited Awarding Body that awards the qualifications. Please see 'Awarding Organisation'.

Process through which Sports Leaders UK authorise a Centre or Professional Learning Centre (PLC), to deliver and assess qualifications.

Process through which a challenge can be made about results or other procedural decisions affecting a Centre/PLC or individual learners.

Process of making judgements on whether a learner's work meets the requirements of an Assessment Criteria of a unit within a qualification, or award.

Minimum standards that a learner must achieve in order to demonstrate that the Learning Outcomes have been met for a qualification or unit, or part of a unit.

Description of the methods, processes and tasks to be used to assess a qualification or unit. For example tutor observation, question and answer, written evidence.

Confirmation that work has been produced by the learner who is putting it forward for assessment, and all relevant practical assessments have been observed by the Tutor/Assessor.

An organisation recognised by the qualification regulators as approved to award credits and qualifications. Sports Leaders UK is an Awarding Organisation.
